You can post profile information and messages on the Platform, and you keep ownership of what you post. You give us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, sublicensable and transferable licence to use, reproduce, distribute, modify, adapt and display it in connection with the Platform and our events. Do not post anything unlawful, offensive or that infringes the rights of others. We may remove content that breaks these terms.

These terms do not limit your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
Please be respectful and lawful at our events and on the Platform. Harassment, hate speech and abusive behaviour towards other users, attendees, volunteers, staff or venue personnel are not allowed, and neither is fraudulent, misleading or deceptive behaviour. Follow any guidelines our organisers provide. We may remove anyone from an event, without refund, or suspend their account, if they breach these rules or ignore reasonable directions from our team.
We take steps to provide a safe environment, but we cannot guarantee the actions or intentions of other users and attendees, so please use common sense and caution. Interactions between attendees should take place at the event, during its official hours, and we strongly discourage attempts to arrange contact or meetings outside the event’s hours and location. If you see suspicious or concerning behaviour, tell a member of our team at the event or contact us through the Contact form on our website.
We may photograph and film our events and use the material to promote The Social Muslim, including on our website, on social media and in print. By attending, you consent to this.
Volunteering is unpaid. Applying does not guarantee a role, and either of us may end a volunteer arrangement at any time. Volunteers must follow reasonable directions from our organisers.
You attend our events and deal with other users and attendees at your own risk, so please look after yourself and your belongings. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for personal injury, or for loss, theft or damage of property, in connection with an event or your use of the Platform, except where it is caused by our negligence or breach. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits any right or liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law, including under the Australian Consumer Law.
Please use the Platform lawfully. Do not attempt to gain unauthorised access, disrupt it, send spam through our forms, or use automated tools to copy or overload it. These terms are governed by the laws of Western Australia, and you and we submit to the jurisdiction of its courts.
